For decades, Physical Security has largely been viewed through a terrestrial lens.
Perimeter protection
Access control
Guards
CCTV
Command centers
But the modern enterprise today operates in an environment where critical operational dependencies no longer exist only on the ground.
Increasingly, they exist in space.
From navigation and communications to logistics visibility, emergency response coordination, surveillance systems, financial timing synchronization, and critical infrastructure management — organizations today are deeply dependent on satellites and uninterrupted GPS availability.
Yet, despite this growing dependency, the security implications of space-based disruption remain under-discussed in mainstream enterprise and physical security conversations.
And that may be one of the emerging blind spots of modern risk management.
